Love Chicago Park District, and the skyline, and the waves on the lake. Oh and the icicles, the weird stalagmite kinda protruding icicles and the drippy stalactite ones too.
So today’s maximum temperature was -10C, it was sunny, so I went for a walk. I love that the person in the photo above was out playing frisbee with their dog for the whole hour I was out. Frisb-boy was luckier than Comet, when I went past Comet’s owner they were bemoaning the fact that Comet wouldn’t poop!
Anyway, I’d been sitting on my bed working in the sun and I thought, gee I should go for a walk on a beautiful day like today. Checked the temperature and realised it would take me a good 20 minutes to put enough clothes on, but hey, time to explore.
I don’t think I’m going to write too much with these – you get it. On Friday it snowed a lot, but not as much as forecast. Yesterday it snowed more, today it’s clear and blue and frozen!
Is it my naughty mind or are these a tiny bit suggestive…
Obligatory panorama
I had real fun – yes it was so cold I thought Hannibal Chew had popped new eyes in for me. Thought they didn’t work too well until I realised my glasses had formed a layer of ice on the insides. But my mega expensive coat, snow gloves and boots worked a treat. And I did it! Yay me.
Now this is a seagull that deserves an award!
Just look at that lake…
I was mesmerised by the colours in the lake, it’s like this huge churning slushy
Yep that’s the Chicago skyline 12 miles off to the left
Like I said, cold…
but totally awesome.
A good day was missed by mad dogs and Englishmen both. I would have thrown a snowball at them.
